Eating Tang Yuan
Mom: Today is Lantern Festival.
We'll eat some Tang Yuan.
Do you want to help boil them?
Let's get the pot out.
Child: I'll fill it with water.
Mom: Very good.
I'll turn the heat on.
We'll bring the water to a boil
and then add the Tang Yuan.
? 5 minutes pass
Mom: Time to add the Tang Yuan.
I'll do it with you.
Do it slowly
so it doesn't splash us with hot water.
? 5 minutes pass
Mom: Looks like they are ready.
They're floating on top like little fat piggies.
? 3 minutes pass
Mom: Let's scoop them out with the slotted spoon.
Put them in a bowl
and let them cool.
? 3 minutes pass
Child: I bet they are cool enough now.
Mom: Yes, but the filling is still hot.
If you bite into it too soon,
you could burn your tongue!
So after you bite it open,
blow on it a little
and then eat it.
Child: Oh, I will.
Mmmm … so good!
What flavor is it?
Mom: Let me see.
Yours is filled with black sesame.
We bought a lot of flavors.
Black sesame and red bean paste are traditional flavors.
We also have some creative flavors - chocolate, taro, custard.
Child: What kind of flour are Tang Yuan made of?
They are sticking to my teeth.
Mom: They are made of glutinous rice, or sticky rice, flour.
So, as you can tell by its name, it's sticky.
Child: What's the difference between Tang Yuan and Yuan Xiao?
Mom: Yuan Xiao has a solid filling
and is made by rolling it in flour,
and then dipping it in water
and repeating the steps.
And for Tang yuan, you wrap the filling with the dough.
Child: Why do we eat them on the Lantern Festival?
Mom: Because they are round which symbolizes unity in the family.
Child: Happy Lantern Festival, Mommy and Daddy!
Mom: Happy Lantern Festival!
Child: I'm so full.
Mom: You know, the leftover water is pretty tasty to drink
It has a little sweetness and the intermingling tastes of the sesame, rice, and bean paste.
Here, try some.
Child: Not bad!
Mom: I can't believe the Chinese New Year is almost over.
It went by so quickly!
Child: Yeah, school is going to start for me.

Black Sesame Filling”
Red Bean Paste Filling”
……
Lantern Festival
The First Month of Lunar New Year
Lantern Riddles
Guessing Lantern Riddles

I love Jiaozi ! Tangyuan only has sesame inside, while Jiaozi has hundred of stuffing!

例句:
I in one hand and a *** all cake, in one hand and a rolling pin to roll the dumpling wrappers.
It's a crisp apple with dark red skin.
